Description
Monogram 85-4866 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-350R Essex Wire #98.This particular 1965 GT350R was raced by Ned Owen in SCCA road racking events from 1965 to 1967 carrying sponsorship from Essex Wire, a Ford subcontractor that make wiring harnesses. The car was then sold to a Canadian racer who wrecked it. After a failed attempt to repair it, it sat deteriorating in a barn until found and restored or original condition in the late 1980's. Today, the restored Shelby regularly races in vintage racing series events.
